I mean is it really that difficult to look at a calendar and call someone to let them know whether or not they will attend? And another BIG pet peeve of mine is bringing siblings. I have two girls, 17 months apart and unless both their names are on a birthday invite I don't bring them both to a party. Many of the parties I have are a per child charge of $15 - $20 so it can get pretty expensive with unexpected siblings attending! I was envisioning my grown-up son on the psychiatrists' couch one day saying, "it all started when no one showed up for my 6th birthday party..." Pet Peeve: at least respond - that's what RSVP means! Let me know - give me a head count so I don't have to pay $100 to have overnight shipping on party favors!
