"Man's best friend" sheds light on why they share common habbits such as marking their territory or leaving their mark. This is an action that is not always acted on for lack of convenient facilities. Case in point, my son, at 11 years walked out the back door of the house and proceeded to pee all over the fence with all sorts of designs. (Gross) Clearly not an array left from a sprinkler hitting the fence. What did the neighbors who flank either side of our home think???? Did anyone walking the trail behind our home wonder what was spraying through the slats of wood?? Oh the look was flashed, and the voice was heard, but no habbits have changed. To me it always seems worse when your own child is performing such acts, yet, humorous when it's someone else's child. Maybe because it validates your child's normalcy when you realize other chldren perform the same rituals. Normal as I have come to realize, but I will probably continue to respond with the look of a mother. Hmmm?

Peeing is nothing! My son has had to take a few outdoor dumps. You have to be very strategic -- find a super secret location and then walk away as if nothing has happened ...

I think we as moms need to stop being so judgmental of other moms. Who really cares if a kid who has to pee, decides to pee on a tree? I'm actually jealous that boys can do that because I know there have been times where i only wished I could pee on a tree.

This picture looks exactly like my son!!! Why is this totally ok for dogs but not kids? I was at an outdoor wedding far from a toilet when my son had to go. Choice was to miss the wedding or get the look for having him pee behind a tree. I chose the look!
