Yes, I have found myself on both sides of this awkward situation. When it’s my home, sometimes, I’ve wondered if it is presumtuous to assume that the other Mom even wants to come in. Maybe she is in a rush, wants to grab the kid and go. Maybe she couldn’t care less about my decorating. And what if the Dad is picking up….?

I once pushed my way in past the front door (non chalantly, of course.) I couldn’t stand being left on the porch, again. It Now, I feel weird every single time I see the mom, like somehow I violated her privacy. I don’t think I’ll be doing that again!
